My favorite room in Provost Skene's House is The Regency Palour which I have chosen to use as inspiration for this project and my main focal point being the beautiful harp stood in the corner. It attracted my eye from the moment I set foot in the room. I have never been musical but the structure of the harp caught my interest and so I set about researching the history of this instrument. I may have been a little naive as to just how much work went in to making them and the history behind them.
Research is possibly my favorite stage of a project as I love to learn new information. It is believed that the harp was originally inspired by hunting bows.
